Notes: Challenge Mode is a variation of the Rosalina (Itemless) project that aims to test more of Rosalina’s abilities, with additional conditions for players to follow while clearing the courses.
For this Challenge Mode condition, Rosalina is unable to attack any enemies. In the context of this course, she cannot attack any of the spiked Skipsqueaks, Piranha Plants, or horned Ant-Troopers.
Rosalina’s spin-attack is a useful skill to help her avoid the Skipsqueaks without taking damage. Alternative methods can be used to collect the Stamp and the 2nd Green Star, instead of defeating the Ant-Troopers and Skipsqueaks and Skipsqueaks.
Some levels were given multiple Challenge Mode ideas that were combined together. A second condition considered for this course was to clear it without taking damage. This video demonstrates how both conditions can be cleared simultaneously.
