A year after he brought a reconstituted First National Band to the Coach House, Michael Nesmith returned to the San Capistrano, Calif. venue with just pedal steel player Pete Finney to perform his classic 1972 album, And The Hits Just Keep On Comin’, and other songs from his countrified solo career. Here’s a great rendition of “Joanne,” one of my all-time favorites, with Nesmith in fine vocal form and Finney really shining.
