In this series I restore a vintage Gibson archtop which, as with most of my projects, has seen a hard life! At some stage a previous owner hacked through both the top and both braces in order to fit pickups, substantially weakening the load-bearing structure of the guitar.

In this video we remove the back in order to access and remove the damaged braces.
