From chole bhature to indulgent sweets, here are some must-try bites to recharge midday or post office.

Bhogal Chole Bhature, opposite Scindia House on Janpath, serves a classic Delhi favorite. The chole bhature here is light and fluffy, with chole that’s rich in spices. For something filling but easy to eat, there’s chole chawal, while the chole kulcha– a smaller serving of chickpeas with soft bread – makes a great snack. It’s best to go early as the place quickly draws a crowd.

Across from Scindia House Bus Stop, Rajesh Samosa specializes in mini samosas. These bite-sized samosas pack a spicy punch and are ideal for a snack you can grab on the go. Their crispy shells and warm fillings are perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up.

Outside the Suryakiran Building on Kasturba Gandhi Marg is Pappu Chaat Bhandar. Known for its fresh fruit chaat, this stall serves vibrant, refreshing fruit with a hint of chaat masala. It’s a light, tangy choice if you're looking for something on the healthier side.

Further down, near the ECE House, Sonu Sharma Dahi Bhalle offers cooling dahi bhalle. This dish combines fluffy lentil dumplings soaked in creamy yogurt, topped with spices and chutneys. It’s the ideal balance of flavors – tangy, spicy, and sweet – to beat the midday heat.

Monga Snacks on Barakhamba Road is known for its paneer bread pakoda. The pakoda has a filling of spiced paneer sandwiched in bread, dipped in batter, and fried to a crisp. It’s hearty, flavorful, and just what you need to fuel the rest of the day.

Finally, Gupta Ji Sweets in M Block is the place for dessert. Their kala jamun with rabri is a treat worth savoring. The kala jamun is rich, dense, and soaked in syrup, while the thick rabri adds an indulgent creaminess. It’s the perfect sweet note to end your food walk.
