Embroidery is becoming the hot new trend that's happening for the spring and the summer. You can find it in women's, men's and children's fashion.

It's on clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories. You can also find it in home furnishing and many other items. I especially love seeing it on simple styles giving a new twist and making it unique, I love how a simple application or technique is so inspirational with just a touch of embroidery or the over the top all over embroidery, it really gives an item new life.

We see embroidery on handkerchiefs, tablecloths, napkins, drapery, pillow covers, pillows, linens, felt clothing, chunky knitted sweaters or scarfs, and soft constructed boxes. Anything you can run a needle and yarn through can be embroidered.

Embroidery has become a very popular trend, especially in women's wear. Where you can find the most over the top embroidered apparel. However we do see this trend in men's and children fashion as well.

Embroidery patterns can be any design, shape, symbol and color. It's one of the simplest art forms that anyone can do and enjoy.

There are different techniques such as cross hatch stitches, loop stitches, twisted stitches and so much more.

Every country has their own unique patterns, symbols and colors that represents their country.  Embroidered items are great souvenirs when you travel abroad.

What we are seeing now in the embroidery trends are the beautiful flowers and swirls patterns as well as small dainty and intricate patterns. The yarns used are bold and bright and depending on how many strands used at once will dictate how strong and bold the embroidery will be.

Stripe and plaid items are being revamp by adding a layer of embroidery to them. It makes the style pop, giving a great three dimension look.

Embroidery can be done by hand or machines. The color and pattern are limitless. The different types of yarns used and the techniques have unlimited potential.

We love this great look by simply adding some decoration to an item to change it from bland and boring to wow and pow!

I still find hand embroidery item to be the most special as no two will be the same even if you are coping the same pattern. Hand work such as this is rare and should be pass down from generation to generation so we may continue this wonderful hobby.
