🛣️ The High Road to Fridaythorpe
Leaving our windy lay-by at the top of Garrowby Hill, we continue along the A166 towards Fridaythorpe. Sitting at approximately 550 feet (170m) above sea level, Fridaythorpe holds the title of the highest village in the Yorkshire Wolds. In the February rain and thick fog, you can really feel how exposed and dramatic this landscape is!

🗺️ Lost in the Heart of the Wolds
The plan was simple: find the English Heritage car park for the famous Wharram Percy Lost Medieval Village. However, the Wolds had other ideas.

The Detour: Between the narrow, winding lanes and a stray "Road Closed" sign, I managed to get completely turned around.

Scenic Scenic Routes: My accidental detour took us through the stunning village of Thixendale, nestled in a deep valley, before looping back to Fridaythorpe after resetting the sat nav.

The Drive: Even with the poor visibility, this is a pure "driving video" through the heart of the chalk hills. The rolling landscape of the Wolds is unmistakable, even when shrouded in mist.

🎯 The Bingo Challenge
I didn't spot any specific new Bingo boxes on this leg of the trip—mostly due to focusing on the road! But keep your eyes peeled as we drive through these historic villages.
