Opel Astra sets the benchmark in terms of handling and it aims for the top in frugality and performance after getting rid of its excessive weight. But its suspension which seems like it's engineered with only the German Autobahn in mind, its gearbox which is counting days for its retirement and its constantly chuntering engine makes you question its price.
