Device configuration profiles in Microsoft Intune are a way for you to manage and configure settings on your organization's devices. You can create profiles for different devices and different platforms, including Android, iOS/iPadOS, macOS, and Windows.

Here are some of the things you can do with device configuration profiles:

Configure Wi-Fi and VPN connections: You can create profiles that automatically configure Wi-Fi and VPN connections for your devices. This can save time and effort for your users, and it can help to ensure that your devices are always connected to the correct network.
Apply security settings: You can use device configuration profiles to apply security settings to your devices, such as requiring a strong password, enabling encryption, and restricting access to certain websites and applications.
Control device features: You can use device configuration profiles to control device features, such as disabling the camera, microphone, or Bluetooth.
Deploy software: You can use device configuration profiles to deploy software to your devices. This can be helpful for deploying applications that are required for all of your devices, such as antivirus software or productivity software.
Device configuration profiles are a powerful tool that can help you to manage and secure your organization's devices.

Here are the steps on how to create a device configuration profile in Intune:

Sign in to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center.
Go to Devices - Configuration profiles.
Click Create a profile.
Select the platform for the profile.
Select the profile type. There are two types of profiles: templates and settings catalog. Templates are pre-configured groups of settings that you can use to configure common features, such as Wi-Fi or VPN. The settings catalog is a list of all the settings that you can configure for a device.
Configure the settings for the profile. The settings that you can configure will vary depending on the platform and profile type that you selected.
Assign the profile to a group of devices. You can assign profiles to user groups or device groups.
Once you have created and assigned a device configuration profile, the settings in the profile will be applied to the devices in the assigned group.
