Fantasmic! - Walt Disney World, Disney-MGM Studios 1999

I actually let out an auditable sigh when I discovered the Florida show in my tapes. Sure we tease this show for being less than the Disneyland version, but for the most part that is only because of a dozen things. For me it's the absence of the Peter Pan scene with the Columbia and that ...let's just say it's not the Mark Twain. The performers are fantastic in this, none of the critiques I have are with them for this show. But after growing up with the CA version, I think this falls in a lower tier. But for posterity, I'm happy to include in in this archive. If anything I'm glad I taped a peek of the amphitheater at the beginning in the daylight. That day we were able to get a backstage tour of the whole set up, very interesting to see a planned space for it that isn't smack dab in the middle of a decades old crowded park.
