Biostimulators for Facial Rejuvenation Using a Mesotherapy Automated Injector - The MedInjecT

So without any further ado, I am going to let Gigi take over here.

Thank you for joining us on the biostimulators for facial rejuvenation webinar. I wanted to demonstrate how I use the MedInjecT mesotherapy automated injector in my aesthetic practice for facial rejuvenation. One of the key treatments that we use is biostimulators. What is a biostimulator? A biostimulator is something that induces neocollagenesis. Aesthetics is moving towards a more natural look and very much into injections with biostimulators.

Sculptra is a very well known biostimulator and there's a biostimulator coming out called Aesthefill. It's really starting to go that way in aesthetics, a more natural, beautiful look. So we do perform quite a bit of biostimulator injections in our practices.

The reason why I like to perform the biostimulator injections with the MedInjecT is because we're able to do arms, elbows, chest, neck, knees, crepiness, in some of the areas other than just the face. I use a multitude of other substances with the MedInjecT, but we're going to focus on biostimulators today. I do use the automated injector for micro Botox, glutathione for lightning and brightening, vitamin C and exosomes to stimulate collagen as well as Platelet Rich Plasma and hyper diluted HA (hyaluronic acid) fillers.

So there's a multitude of injectable substances you can use this mesotherapy device for. What I like about using it with the biostimulators, is I get to actively go anywhere on the body I want and this mesotherapy device will deliver the substance to the exact depth that I want it to be delivered for even distribution. When we're using an automated injector I can go from 0.25mm all the way to 3 millimeters. As far as the biostimulation goes, I really like the fact that I can cover the whole body. Face, neck and chest is a whole unified look. It's something that I really like to use the biostimulator injections for.

I have a beautiful model here today and we're going to perform the biostimulator injection treatment on her neck. I preloaded my syringe and you can see in the hand piece that I have a 5cc syringe. I can have a syringe from 1cc to 10cc in size. I've chosen a 5cc, for Shannon here. Then I program the mesotherapy device. What size syringe I have. How much solution I have in the syringe and what size I'm going to cover. And of course, the speed I want to go for, how viscous it is, or how diluted it is.

The skin gets sucked up into the nine pin tip needle. The device doesn't discharge until it has a perfect seal. It's not going to deliver any biostimulator unless you have a perfect seal on the skin. The device is also relatively quick. See how the MedInjecT picks up the skin right there.

Gigi. Can you give us a little bit more history and background on biostimulators? Most people who are focused just on filler, filler, filler, you get to a point where you get what they call that filler face, where it's kind of obvious and especially when people are older and they have thinner skin, it's a little more difficult to kind of hide and give them that natural look. So what a biostimulator will do is it induces your body to produce its own collagen much like it did when you were younger. The result is fabulous because it just looks so natural. It looks like your own collagen, but you're still getting the volume. It also gives you a really nice glow. They call it the Sculptra glow, because a biostimulator really induces that nice kind of collegen we all had in our 20s and 30s, where we had that nice glow, and we kind of lose that, especially when we're perimenopausal or menopausal. We lose that ability to produce the elastin and collagen fibers that we did when we were younger. So collagen production gets a boost. You're producing it yourself.
