In the third lecture of a series exploring psychoanalysis' myriad aspects, Dr. Aleksandar Dimitrijevic sketches out a broad conception of the psychoanalytic understanding of personality.

The first comprehensive scientific model of personality was created by Freud. Since its inception, this model has undergone considerable revision by Freud himself and by subsequent analysts - particularly in the domains of object relations theory, self-psychology, and relational psychoanalysis.

Aleksandar Dimitrijevic, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, and lecturer at International Psychoanalytic University - IPU Berlin.
