Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and the country's military are concerned over increasing Russian influence in the country as Moscow's clout grows in West Africa. Nigeria's military chief held security talks with the President after Russian flags were waved and slogans favouring Russian President Vladimir Putin were raised at anti-government protests. Nigeria has arrested some tailors and "sponsors" over Russian flags at demonstrations.
