The Ego Explained - Jungian Psychology - Carl Jung

New video all about the Ego aspect of the personality in Jungian Analytical Psychology. The Persona is the center of consciousness and is part of the personal conscious.

Many people want to transcend the Ego but it's important first to make sure that the Ego has undergone a certain level of development. Carl Jung called this process Individuation where a person first dedicates their life toward Ego development and then a turns inward toward the Shadow, the Anima and Animus, and the Self in the latter half of life.

In order to develop a strong and healthy ego, we must learn what our genuine preferences are. Then we can develop hidden potentials, determine our values, and have a really clear sense of identity.

Then, once we have created a strong and healthy Ego, we can begin the Individuation process where we turn inward with processes like Shadow Work.

Though the theory of the Ego originates with Carl G. Jung, I share my own perspective on the Ego along with some practices for constructing the Ego and Individuation.
