FINDING OHNOKI, OHNOKI REVEALS HIS SHOCKING PLAN AND THE UNBREAKABLE BARRIER! Boruto and the other Konoha ninjas decide to infiltrate the Hidden Stone village by keeping a low profile and wearing large coats. Their goal is to find Ohnoki because Boruto believes he might help him find Mitsuki so they try to find answers but Cho cho unintentionally brings the attention of the passerbys who laugh at her stomach growling loudly. However, this also attracts the attention of Mr Akatsuchi who follows them. Boruto's crew decide to eat at a restaurant and still try their best to keep a low profile at the same time. It turns out that the restaurant owner knows Ohnoki well and they ask him where he lives so Boruto's crew head outside and meet Mr. Akatsuchi who tells them that he knows where Ohnoki is staying so he escorts them to the location. Boruto finally meets Ohnoki and tells him about Mitsuki leaving their village and asking him if he could help him find him. Ohnoki refuses and tells Mr. Akatsuchi to make them leave and return home. Then, Lord Ku arrives telling Ohnoki that the test subject is ready and restrains Boruto violently. Everyone is shocked to find out that Ohnoki is the mastermind behind the creation of the Akuta. Ohnoki explains that he created them to protect the citizens of the Hidden Stone village at all costs and to maintain peace. The Akuta are supposed to replace young shinobis so they do not have to die in war which is what happened in previous conflicts. Boruto fights Lord Ku who wields a large blade and proves to be too quick for Boruto's shadow clones. However, a pillar almost falls on Ohnoki so Boruto saves him and is split from his crewmates.

Meanwhile, Inojin tries to teach his new Akuta pet how to speak and how to pronounce his friend's names. Shikadai is imprisoned near Kurotsuchi's prison who was captured earlier by Lord Ku. Kurotsuchi explains that she rejected Ohnoki's plan for several reasons. In the flashback, Ohnoki shows off the Akuta prototypes to a crowd. The Akuta prototypes initially start fighting well but then one becomes very violent and starts beating the crap out of the other. Kurotsuchi destroys the prototype for its violent nature and rejects the idea straight away due to the lack of control over the Akuta and the need to build a good relatioship with the other villages. Also, Sekiei shows Mitsuki his room where he has drawn pictures of his friends. Mitsuki then gets a full body scan from a scientist but the scientist finds that there's a curse mark on Mitsuki's chest covering the area of his heart. Although, when Mitsuki finally meets Lord Ku he says that it's still possible for them to use him for the project. Mitsuki asks him if they have souls considering that they both are artificial humans and whether they are programmed to have a particular will. Elsewhere, Boruto eventually finds shelter in the Sanzu Plains. When Ohnoki wakes up, he tells him that the Sanzu Plains has an unbreakable barrier where once you enter that area you can never get out unless you manage to find your heart stone. Boruto panics and starves whilst living in the Sanzu Plains which has very limited resources. He eats bugs with Ohnoki and tries to think of a way to find his heart stone. Ohnoki tells him that he needs Mitsuki to perfect his plan. At the end, a few of the artificial humans created by Lord Ku suddenly have parts of their skin cracking.
