Meghan is asked about episode number one of her Podcast some more, specifically about the harrowing story of the fire that could have harmed Archie, although it wasn't really and fire and Archie wasn't even in the room.

The Sussexes explain how long they'd expect off to recover from this kind of incident, whilst Daphne Dandruff writes into to compare with some previous royals and their close brushes with danger.

Transcript:

CJ: During the first episode of your podcast Meghan you brought up a harrowing story about how you were forced to continue with royal engagements after a fire had broken out in Archie’s bedroom, billowing deadly smoke.

M: It was traumatic

CJ: However, it appears that Archie wasn’t in the room at the time, he was with the nurse instead.

M: I just couldn’t believe it, it made no sense. Like, I knew this wasn’t right, but I was being made to carry on - it was all about the way things looked, not how they felt.

H: Whereas Meghan and I make all our judgements based on how we feel, and I’ll think you’ll agree that it hasn’t done us any harm.

CJ: As obvious as that is Harry, some might say Meghan that if we were traumatised about every time something might have happened, we’d spend our lives perpetually in emotional despair, expecting people to bend to our neurosis?

M: It was an indictment of the unbending nature of royal protocol, that when a near miss like this, which could have harmed my son, is shrugged off as something just to be dealt with, you know, taken on the chin

H: Instead of treating it with seriousness it deserves and whining about it non-stop for a few days

M: Yeah (to harry) Then a take a few more to rediscover the calmness of spirit lost to the drama

CJ: Yes, but only a false drama created by yourself

H: And after we’ve found calmness, it’s time to reflect for a few weeks

CJ: So, imagined near misses will take, roughly, a month to recover from?

M: About that?

CJ: That would make you less active that Joe Biden, but we have a comment here by Daphne Dandruff, she says: do you not realise how admirable it is to keep calm and carry on - she reminds us that The Queen was once shot at during the trooping of the colour, and after steadying the horse, carried on.

M: Some would call that showing off

CJ: Daphne also remembers Princess Anne enduring a kidnap attempt, only to continue with her duties without fuss or fanfare
M: Yeah, well, Princess Anne is a secondary royal

CJ: Indeed, only a couple of levels higher than you two

H: My Meghan is a delicate peach - she bruises easily - but when you bite into her there’s a whole load of sweet stringy flesh

(Meghan smiles)

H: And a stony heart

CJ: I think what Daphne is getting is that there is nothing commendable about blowing things out of proportion - it hints at, as she says, a blind, self-centred, self-aggrandising view of the world acted out in divaish spectacle whilst seemingly trapped, and choking, in a locked sauna of narcissism

(Harry aghast) You really have to ask yourself where people get these descriptions from? Is it even a real question? Does Daphne Dandruff really exist?

M: I don’t know where people get this idea that I’m self-obsessed, when all I wanna do, right, is talk about my experiences so people can live better lives because of me and my advice and always know that it was me and my advice that improved them - mine, from me

H: You certainly improved me Meghan - I used to be unaware of the deep-seated problems I had with my family and loved ones

CJ: Perhaps your performance on the podcast helped them form that opinion.

M: What do you mean?

CJ: Well, whenever you guest makes a point or tells a story, you try and trump it with one of your own, and invariably one that paints you as a victim, and you do so all while immersed in a smug smog of pseudo-academic parfum - perhaps that’s why?
