The contest measures the participants' ability to accurately sing Japanese songs, with emphasis on pronunciation, and is done yearly to promote the Japanese language, and the friendship between Japan and The Philippines.

MNL48 were the last guests to perform during the event, before announcing the winners.

Forgive me for the shakes and the repositioning. I had to because people were raising their banners. And I wasn't at the ideal seating for recording anyway.
