What is a song? This is what’s explored in ONE SONG, a show created and hosted by musician Peter Broderick, presented by The Black Gate.

Broderick leads us through each episode, diving passionately into the story of a single song with special guests —from well-known artists to young fledgling musicians— every episode culminating with a live performance of the song. As an adaptable multi-instrumentalist, Broderick offers himself up at the guest’s disposal for musical accompaniment on instruments such as violin, keyboards and percussion.

Some episodes revolve around artists’ original songs while others focus on traditional music and the rich histories of these old tunes. Sometimes guests share private audio such as voice memos and demos. All for the love of ONE SONG.
