In this video I test the difference in xp/h (and thus kills/h) between the zaryte bow and the noxious longbow in Runescape. The results are quite surprising and it is apparent the noxious bow is not well suited to lower level monsters.
The Noxious bow is at the time of recording a ~360m bow obtainable from the new boss monster Araxxor released late July 2014, while the Zaryte bow is only around 67m and obtainable from Nex. The Noxious bow must be recharged for 4.5m after 10 hours of combat while the zaryte bow costs only 1m to recharge after 10 hours. The Zaryte bow additionally requires no arrows while the Noxious bow must use Araxxian arrows adding to the costs.
