Samanwaya one of the young masters of Sitar of the contemporary era acquired mastery over the style of Instrument and real elements of Vocal music (Gayaki) with masters of Indian Classical music like Padma Vibhushan Giirija Devi of Benaras Gharana, the legendary Pt. Manilal Nag of Bishnupur Gharana, the stalwarts like Pt. Kumar Prasad Mukhopadhayay of Agra Atrauli and Rampur Sahaswan, another Pt. Shyamal Chatterjee of Senia amnd Maihar tradition and Senia Master Pt. Sahshanka Bandopadhyay. Samanwaya's open mind to learning, analyzing elements and styles of different age old traditions alongwith with his intricate understanding of philosophy behind arts, made him unique in approach and execution.
