Anpæþ - A journey on paths unknown (dungeon synth demo)

In the early spring of 2023, I suffered a sudden back injury which left me barely able to walk for several days. Being heavily into dungeon synth at the time, I decided it was a good idea to compose some for myself. To this end, after recovering somewhat - though still hopped up on pain meds - I headed down to the local music shop and bought myself a MIDI keyboard. On the bus ride back home, still clutching the thing, I daydreamed of the glorious lo-fi fantasy masterpieces I would compose. Herein lie the fruits of that dream. Though far from what could be called masterpieces, these tracks taught me a lot about both composition and music production using a DAW. That being the case, I thought it prudent to leave a record here so that I may look back and think, "wow, this is awful" or maybe even, "hey, I may have created something worthwhile here." Nowadays I'm leaning toward the latter - I wager that's because so much time has passed that I no longer feel embarrassed by my compositions' amateurishness. So, here they are. Please listen as intended, on a pirated cassette tape inside a Walkman ripoff you bought on AliExpress, through 15-year-old iPod earphones the ends of which have long since been stripped, leaving the wires exposed.
