Rabbi Wolpe breaks it down briefly, "..most would do business with Nazi Germany if they thought they could make a dollar & stay out of the path of the 'woke' mob..." Followed by Kam's DailyDaamn. If one believes most people are good, most Germans in Nazi occupied Germany were probably good people; doing what was necessary to make ends & not rock the boat risking unwanted attention.
What it's going to take in order to avoid the pitfalls of our predecessors(?) COURAGE. It's simple, Not easy! To stand up for what one knows & feels to be true - when to do so is to risk attack & alienation by ones own people as well as paint a target on oneself for the opposition. I believe change starts when two or more people take a vow to the truth & agree to respectfully venture into territory thats ripe with controversy, passion & difference of opinion to either achieve a mutual understanding OR to grow one's own understanding & philosophically . In the US & here in Canada speech regulations have been steadily increasing as we’re divided up into more & more minorities. An acting president get completely de-platformed, a US congressman having his account suspended for equating shad oh ba ning to unconstitutional tyranny .... Here at 'DaamnTalk' - We believe it is in the creating of a discussion that one can find the unasked answers. (In order to not tolerate hate speech WE have to establish some sort of understanding of what constitutes said offensive speech. To not have that discussion is to allow the idea to be dismissed before it is presented, let alone discussed! “You held this value back in ____, therefore why would we entertain any interpretation of present day affairs?”. ‘Comm standards’ serve a specific purpose & now that social media is so influential, rather than regulating them in the open a shortcut of sorts has been exploited in the shadows of current affairs; essentially allowing the isolation & digital deportation of anyone with a differing viewpoint. DaamnTalk has our own ComStan’s as well & violating those is grounds for immediate expulsion… from DaamnTalk. You promote violence & we reserve the right to essentially throw you out our front door onto your Daamn but! We feel this is in opposition to the philosophy of deporting an individual, group or idea out of an entire country.
