With the bursting of the Karachi Water Corporation water supply line at Dhabeji, the contractors supplying underground water to the site and other industrial areas have also gone on strike. In such a situation, water is not available in the industrial area, along with this, the underground water suppliers have gone on strike in favor of their demands. They said that 4500 factories in the site have been affected by this, however, there are 1800 such units that cannot operate without water and have been closed. According to Ahmed Azeem, the Sindh government, especially the Mayor of Karachi, will have to take urgent steps in this regard. Because if the factories in the site operate, the country's economy will move forward.
