Jio and Vodafone-Idea users also had connectivity issues within a few hours of Airtel's major outage on Monday. While both were significantly smaller than Airtel's 3,600 peak complaints, Downdetector logged more than 200 of its outage reports for Jio and around 100 for Vodafone-Idea. As per a Jio spokesperson, only calls to a hit network were the issue, and the rest of the network worked fine. Outages were apparent on outage maps in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and other major cities. Networks mostly recovered by midnight.
Later this month, Meta plans to debut Hypernova AR Glasses at $800, a price lower than projected.
Early in October, the business plans to release Hypernova, its first smart AR glasses, which will retail for about $800, less than the $1,000 initial estimate. In addition to a neural wristband controller, the item will have a small display on the right lens that will be utilized for notifications and mini-apps. The company's largest foray into the augmented reality and wearable device market to date, Hypernova serves as a precursor to full AR glasses and will directly compete with high-end smartphones like Apple's iPhone.

The end of an era: Amazon shutters its Android Appstore today. Amazon's Android Appstore, which has, for 14 years, been a rival to Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store, has officially shut its doors after its opening in 2011. You can continue to access the store on Fire tablets and phones, but it switches off on whatever Android devices are not Amazon. Apps can lose functionality and fail to receive updates once support ends. Amazon is nudging consumers towards Google Play for their programs, games, and in-app purchases as they focus back on their Fire universe.

OpenAI launches its cheapest ever AI package, ChatGPT Go, in India, priced at just ₹399 per month, which can be paid via UPI. The plan, developed with the aim of scaling access, enables the users to upload additional images and documents, has tenfold bigger use restrictions, better Indic language support, and access to GPT-5. Indian markets are one of OpenAI's key focus areas, and currently, it is ChatGPT's second-largest market. Cyberattack reveals 1.1 million customer records in Allianz Life data breach.
Personal information of 1.1 million clients was leaked last month in a significant breach of the American insurer Allianz Life. Names, addresses, phone, and email are among the information stolen, reports add. Allianz Life had already confirmed hackers had access to the data of the majority of its 1.4 million American clients, employees, and financial advisors. Allianz is providing two years of identity monitoring service in the course of the investigation. The breach follows a surging number of global cyberattacks on big business.
