Want to use Google Maps for navigation in your Tesla? With the Tesla Display app for Android phone, you can easily mirror your phone's screen to get Google Maps on your Tesla's touchscreen.
In this video, I'll show you how to set up and use Google Maps navigation with the Tesla Display app on Android.
Steps:
1. Download and install the Tesla Display app on your Android device from the Google Play Store. This app lets you mirror your phone's screen to the Tesla touchscreen.
2. Pair your phone with your Tesla via Bluetooth. Go to Controls -- Bluetooth Devices and pair your phone.
3. Enable the Wi-Fi hotspot of your phone and set your Tesla connected to the hotspot.
4. Open the Tesla Display app on your phone and click the start button to start mirroring.
5. Accessing https://td7.cc in Tesla's web browser, You should now see your phone screen on your Tesla screen!
6. Open Google Maps on your phone and enter your destination. Make sure navigation is on. The navigation directions will be displayed on the touchscreen. You can use either portrait mode or landscape mode.
7. Enjoy navigating with Google Maps on your Tesla! You can now use your preferred maps app for navigation.
