This project is to build a budget wooden motor boat called Wooden Shoe in the Mexican jungle of the Mexican Caribbean. This is a unique project as we only using disponible wood from fallen trees. The original plans are for a 23 feet boat, but we have changed it to 25 feet and some extra cabin height. We make all frames and plywood.

Before we could start with the boat build, we spent one year building a huge boathouse, 18 m long and 6 m wide and height.

Before, we planned to build a wooden very fast and famous sailboat called Thunderhead 49 but we changed to this faster project. We want to come out and go fishing!

We will be using technologies and methods based on Bud McIntosh's book, "How to Build a Wooden Boat," and influenced by other YouTube boat builders. In this project we use the splendid Mexican wood like Tzalam, Chechen and Parota, which are similar to white Oak and Mahogany.
