Hokkaido East Coast Photography Road Trip.

Описание к видео Hokkaido East Coast Photography Road Trip.

This is a Japan winter photography vlog filmed on Japan's most northerly main island, Hokkaido. In this video we're on a photo safari , driving from Rausu in the north-east to Kushiro on the south coast.
We visit two extraordinary locations - Notsuke Peninsula and two Red Crowned Crane sanctuaries. In winter, the Notsuke Peninsula looks like the end of the earth. At 17 miles or 28km long, it is Japan’s longest sand spit, but its slowly disappearing.

The Tsurui Ito Red-crowned Crane Sanctuary and a field in Turui village offer amazing opportunities to photograph these beautiful birds.

Whether you are planning to travel to Japan when it re-opens, or just enjoy some virtual travel, you have come to the right place. Japan Photo Explore is a series of travel and photography vlogs and videos that show you some amazing places, some you’ve probably never heard of.

Hi, my name's Nick Pitsas. I am a photographer and video producer and I've been traveling to Japan since 2009, including five trips in winter, so if you have any questions about travel and photography in Japan, I'm happy to try to answer them. I look forward to your comments and questions. More videos are coming so if you’d like to see them, please click the notifications button so that you’ll know when new videos are uploaded.

For all the photography in this video my photography buddy Ted and I both used Fujifilm X-T2 camera bodies. For the bird photography we used Fujifilm XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 lenses. If you have any questions about gear, let me know.

Please note that none of the content of this video, nor the equipment we used, was sponsored.
