Western Maryland Railway Potomac 4-8-4 and PRR M1b both had a rather high Tractive Effort which was close to or above 70,000 lbs. But PRR M1b was a late 1920s-design Mountain type 4-8-2 with 72 " driving wheel. With 2000 tons behind them, let's see which train will reach their top speed fastest and highest!

Note that the speed limit of the freight train was 50 mph in the 1940s! :P
