Today, we'll be taking a look at the Erickson E-Track Tie-Down Kit with ratchet straps, wheel chocks and roller idlers. This is going to be a complete kit to get your vehicle strapped down to your e-track.As far as what comes with the kit, we'll get two of these ratcheting straps with those roller idlers. Then two of the e-tracks. The tire and wheel and the e-track portion that I have here are just for demonstration. Those don't come with the kit, but just wanted to show you how it will look whenever you have it set up. Of course, you'll probably an actual vehicle instead of just a single tire.This is going to help you get everything secured.

Have your vehicle really locked down into place. You don't have to worry about it rolling or moving at all during transport. It's good for ATVs, four wheelers, any of those smaller type vehicles. Since it does come with the two straps, you want to make sure that you note the working load limit that these can handle.For just one strap on its own, it can handle 1,100 pounds, so whenever you use a pair, you're limited to 2,200 pounds. If you get a second set, so you have four total, that ups it again to 4,400 pounds.

You want to be sure to note those weight ratings, and never exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight. That way you don't run into any breaking straps as you're going down the road.Also whenever you're working with e-track, and you're getting that installed, you want to make sure that you anchor that down really well. And that working load limit is about 2,000 pounds, so you want to have all those finishing points fastened down very securely.I like this kit though, because it's going to give us a very easy-to-use and secure system. We'll have our e-track, so we can roll our vehicle right up to it. Stops our vehicle right there.

Then the roller idlers give you a nice tension point that's closer to the wheel, rather than having to get underneath your vehicle and ratchet it down right next to it. So you can put the roller idler just right where that strap comes down, to the nearest anchor point. Then have the rest of the strap further away, but it still has nice tension on there, and then ratchet it into place.We'll have our nice over-sized handle for our strap. If we pull that out all the way, that'll loosen it up and allow us to get some slack on that strap. When we can take our vehicle off, we pull that handle again, that center handle is what will actually let us operate it.And you can see as I try to tighten that down again, it's starting to pull this e-track up from my table.

That's because it's not really secured down, I just have it laying on top. Just again, so you can see what it'll look like. Whenever you have this fastened down securely, it won't pull up like that. But that just shows you how much tension we can get with this strap, to really hold it down.A nice thing that they've added with this are a couple of rubber blocks. We have three of them. They have a little notch on either side that kind of digs into the tread of the tire so they've specifically designed it to work with wheels and really hold them securely in place. The little red nylon strap's there just to help keep them from getting all bunched up together, and space them out a little more, so they don't just come off the end.If I turn my table, you can see the e-track attachment point on the other side. It works just like any of our other attachment points for e-track, with that little lever that we pull back. Then you just have to slide it up and out. It makes it really easy to use.It comes with, again, the two straps, two e-tracks. So, roll your vehicle up, strap it all down, it should stay nice and sturdy. Those pads are also going to provide a little extra grip, with the notches in there. Helps to just take up any additional gaps, kind of helps to conform the strap to the tire.Our straps are made of a durable polyester webbing. The ratchet portion is made of a durable zinc-coated material. Same thing for the idler roller. That's going to help to prevent any rusting or corrosion.The e-track has a yellow powder coat finish. Again that's to help it resist any kind of rusting. So it will stay looking nice for a long time.Our overall track dimensions, it's going to be . I'll get my ruler out so you can see.
