In August 2019, The Midi Music Company (MMC) in partnership with the London Borough of Lewisham and IRIE! dance theatre launched REAL TALK, a series of three community talks opening the conversation on the issues of youth violence.

Talks tackled issues involving young people and policing, community, opportunity and enterprise, sharing experiences and ideas.

We are extremely grateful to the Aaron Truss and the Rob Knox Foundation for joining two of the three REAL TALK sessions, where they filmed and interviewed at The Midi Music Company in Deptford.

REAL TALK will be part of the upcoming documentary, 'The Rob Knox Story' about the life and tragic death of the young aspiring actor, Rob Knox.

Rob had just finished filming his on screen roll as Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, when he was stabbed to death in Sidcup. The film will explore his life, the night he died and the growing problems of fatal knife attacks in the UK in the past decade.

Featuring alongside Rob's family and friends are Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast), Jim Broadbent (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince), David Yates (director of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince), Dani Harmer (Tracey Beaker), Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners) and Graham Cole (The Bill).
