Combat Ready: Poland and the Baltics Unite Against Air Threats

Forces from six Allied nations united in a large-scale multi-national military exercise, Astral Knight 2024, in Europe.

The main objective of the exercise was to enhance Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) capabilities and strengthen security across the region.

Nearly 5,000 personnel from six Allied countries and more than 50 aircraft were involved in the exercise. Four Allied countries - Lithuania, Poland, the UK and the US - provided aircraft for the exercise. Other participating nations include Denmark and Greece, which will follow elements of the exercise, enhancing Allied interoperability across the Baltic region.

Astral Knight 2024 is US European Command's (USAFE-AFAFRICA) primary IAMD exercise and part of the Department of Defense's broader exercise program, Large Scale Global Exercise 2024.
