What On Earth Is Going On At FC Basel?

FC Basel won 14 out of a possible 17 Swiss Super League titles between 2004 and 2017, and ten on the bounce from 2010 onwards, in addition to enjoying famous victories against the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

In six short years though, Basel have gone from being too good for domestic football in Switzerland, to bottom of their domestic top flight, and at risk of relegation.

In this documentary, HITC Sevens takes a look at the rise and fall of FC Basel, the club's current plight, and why their downfall has been so remarkable.
