Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is a type of vinegar made with crushed apples, yeast, and sugar. It's used as an ingredient in foods like salad dressings, pickles, and marinades.
Most ACV in the grocery store is the clear, pasteurized, and filtered type. But you can also buy raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar that contains a cloudy sediment. Called “the mother,” this substance is made up of settled bacteria and yeast.

Vinegar has been used as antifungal and antibacterial due to its extreme low-pH in presence of acetic acid as main constituent.
Acetic acid also was recognized as the best organic acid in eradicating Escherichia coli, a foodborne- pathogenic bacteria.

Vinegar may aid weight loss:

Apple cider vinegar may contribute to weight loss by promoting satiety, lowering blood sugar, and reducing insulin levels.
Apple cider vinegar only contains about three calories per tablespoon, which is very low.

Apple cider vinegar for hair:
Dryness of hair and scalp is a sign of increased alkalinity, and this mild acid can help balance it out. Thus, ACV may help relieve itching and flaking of the scalp while stimulating the hair follicles for improved hair growth.

Dosage and how to use Apple cider vinegar?
The best way to incorporate apple cider vinegar into your diet is to use it in cooking.
Some people also like to dilute it in water and drink it as a beverage. Common dosages range from 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 mL) to 1–2 tablespoon (15–30 mL) per day mixed in a large glass of water.
