Pakistani actress Neelo singing on PTV Silver Jubilee Show

On this occasion, sharing this small clip of yesteryears #Pakistani actress, #Neelo Begum, mother of #ShaanShahid and wife of legendary Director, Writer, #RiazShahid

Here she is singing the beautiful #Ghazal by #NasirKazmi, ‘Dil Mein Ek Lehar Si Uthi Hai Abhi’ on the #PTV #SilverJubilee show from 1983.

You can also see film and tv actress #BegumKhurshidMirza sitting a few seats away from her. She starred in numerous films in pre-partition #India under the name of #RenukaDevi. After partition she moved to Pakistan and started appearing on TV in various dramas in the early 70s, shortly after the launch of PTV. You can hear her say ‘Mash’Allah. Bohut Umda’ at the end.
