Appendicitis
The appendix is a thin tail, tube that is joined to the right side of the colon. 
Appendicitis is a medical emergency in which the appendix gets infected and filled with pus.
If not treated it can burst spreading the infectious material into the abdominal cavity Appendicitis can strike at any age, but is common between the ages of 10 and 30 years.

Causes
Appendicitis may be caused by
Gastrointestinal infections, due to viruses, bacteria, or parasites
Obstruction of the appendix cavity by stool, food, or tumor
Inflammation

Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of appendicitis may include:
Dull pain around the navel that increases to a sharp pain as it moves in the lower right side of the abdomen
Pain getting worse during moving, coughing
Abdominal tenderness
Nausea and vomiting.
Loss of appetite
Fever and chills
Constipation
Diarrhea
Bloating
