"La Petite Maison Blanche is a famous house located in the Le Bassin sector of the Chicoutimi district in the city ​​of Saguenay , in the province of Quebec in Canada .

On the night of the 26th to the July 27, 1947, the Little White House and the entire surrounding area suffered from flooding caused by the overflow of the dam located nearby, upstream. The damage is minor. The overflow was caused by an employee who forgot to open the shovels of the dam  . theJuly 19, 1996, the dam overflows again  . This time, the damage is very important. The houses in the district where the Little White House is located are either washed away by the torrent or seriously damaged by the water that pours out of the reservoir for 4 days. Unlike 1947, the dam overflow was caused by unprecedented torrential rains. This event was called "The Saguenay Flood  ".

In 2005, a museum was set up inside the house telling its story and recounting the disaster that hit the Saguenay in 1996. A tourist attraction, the Petite Maison Blanche museum is visited by several thousand visitors each summer."
