The 69th Senior National Volleyball (Men & Women) Championship 2020-21 Concludes at KIIT

The 69th Senior National Volleyball (Men & Women) Championship 2020-21 was concluded today (11th March 2021) at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, Campus-13, KIIT – Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. The event was organized jointly by the KIIT – Deemed to be University and Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA). A total of 58 teams (30 Men & 28 Women) including some 200 International Players (M & W) from across the nation participated in this mega Championship.

For the 1st time in Volleyball National Championship cash prizes were awarded to the top 3 teams (Men & Women) with Champion team awarded Rs.51,000/-, Runner Up team awarded Rs. 31,000/- and 3rd Position team awarded Rs.15,000/- respectively. The Champion & Runner Up cash award was sponsored by KIIT & KISS and the 3rd Position cash award was sponsored by Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA). 

Prof. Achyuta Samanta, President – Volleyball Federation of India (VFI), Hon’ble MP, Kandhamal, and Founder KIIT & KISS conveyed his good wishes to all the players, coaches, managers and technical officials who took part in this grand championship and congratulated the winner teams.

Date: 05th – 11th March 2021

Venue: Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, Campus 13, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar

RESULTS MEN CATEGORY

Men Finals           :       Haryana beat Assam by 3-0 sets

         (25-23, 25-18 and 25-19)

 3rd/4th Position   :       Kerala beat Railways by 3-2 sets

         (36-38, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21 and 15-12)

Champion           :        Haryana

Runner Up          :         Assam

3rd Position        :         Kerala

4th Position         :         Railways

RESULTS WOMEN CATEGORY

Women Finals      : Kerala beat Railways by 3-0 sets

   (25-20, 26-24 and 25-13)

3rd/4th Position   : West Bengal beat Himachal Pradesh by 3-1 sets

   (25-16, 18-25, 25-21 and 25-18)

Champion            :         Kerala

Runner Up           :         Railways

3rd Position         :         West Bengal

4th Position         :         Himachal Pradesh
