Nimisila Reservoir with Hobie Lynx - Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament -Buckeye Kayak Fishing Trail

This weekend I fished a BKFT kayak bass tournament on Nimisila Reservoir, a clear water, shallow, weedy, and on this day, windy lake, in northern Ohio. Once again, Strictly Sail & Kayak in Cincinnati loaned me their demo Hobie Lynx for the tournament, and it saved my day... as much as I love my Old Town Loon sit-in paddle kayak, I never would have been out in the middle of the lake catching fish like I was able to be in the Lynx! I got on a nice chatterbait bite in the grass, but when the bite died at 1:00, I never found that big upgrade fish I needed, leaving me finishing at 16th out of 55 anglers.
