A wild, untamed girl catches the eye of the lord of the manor and is convinced to marry him, only to rebel when she refuses to be commanded to follow court etiquette. Disguised as a boy, she runs off with his nephew, but runs into new and precarious situations, resulting in her realizing that she really does love the lord.
