Mike clarifies what he carries on his belt kit around his waist when he is out hunting, camping, patrolling, fishing, etc. He also shows how to configure your belt to include ALICE suspenders to help distribute the load more evenly and make it easier to carry. MIke always carries a knife, a canteen, cup and cover, a food kit, a possibles kit, fire kit, and you an easily change out the foot kit and possibles kit for the ultimate survival kit instead which has a bivy shelter, fire kit, fishing kit, food, and more. You can also add in your folding Silky saw or some other small items like medication or first aid. Having gear around your waist prevents you losing your gear should you fall out of a canoe or kayak, or if you get separated from your backpack for some reason. You will want to always have some gear on you when out in the woods. A belt kit is an easy way for any woodsman, survivalists, prepper, hunter, camper, hiker, or bushcrafter to take a small load of gear into the woods and not have to hump a big backpack.
