The first episode of the ASEF Public Diplomacy Training Webinar dealt with the topic of “Cyber Hygiene in Virtual Meetings”. Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, more and more professionals are forced to work from home.

The increased usage of teleconferencing applications, has sparked a rise in virtual cyber-attacks. Hackers and other third parties make use of the vulnerabilities of virtual platforms and their users to jeopardize meetings or to steal private data.

ASEF aimed to create a webinar that provided a practical approach to help non-techie professionals to setup basic safeguards to ensure that their online meetings are protected from malicious third-party intrusions such as hackers or “Zoombombers”

For this purpose, we invited Mr Vladimir RADUNOVIĆ and Mr Rey GLEAN to provide basic steps to minimise the risk of getting exposed to hacking threats.

The webinar focussed on the following topics:
What is cybersecurity?
The importance of cybersecurity
Virtual web conferencing apps: Which one is the best?
Practical steps to protect yourself from hackers
The future of teleconferencing and personal interactions in cyberspace
