Yep, unfortunately, this is a question I get at least once week. How much over the appraisal should I pay?
Well, there is no black and white answer. Its all VERY gray and VERY case by case dependent. Do you have an additional $5,000 to offer over appraisal? Are you paying high monthly storage costs and AirBNB rent for your weekly furnished apartment? Are there 2 other offers or 12? How quickly is your market appreciating?

This is one of the many scenarios where having a great agent can be the reason you get the house you wanted and/or save you a bunch of money when offering to pay over the appraisal or appraisal gap coverage.
