Pascal Ausseur emphasized the need to rethink our analytical frameworks, at a time when societies are fracturing and models of cooperation are gradually eroding.

This growing fragmentation and deglobalization are deeply reshaping global balances, with the emergence of new poles of influence such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the strong return of geopolitics to the international stage.

Europe, built on the dream of peace, now finds itself in a peripheral position and must learn to navigate an uncertain and shifting environment. It must reinvent itself if it is to remain a credible and competitive strategic player in the face of the ambitions of assertive powers.

As Pascal Ausseur stated: “To adapt, we must reflect.” These Strategic Meetings aim to foster this collective and strategic reflection: in a rapidly reconfiguring world, will Europe be able to turn its geopolitical marginalization into a strategic opportunity?
