The Principles of Timely Patient Care have been developed by the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) to define important benchmarks, standards or expectations to guide work practice and systems designed to ensure our patients receive safe, timely, effective and patient-focused care.

The principles have been adapted and expanded from 'Six Principles of Timely Quality Care' used by Alfred Health in Victoria.

The Principles represent the standard of care that SWSLHD aspires to deliver in all its facilities. Over time, it is expected that these Principles will become operational clinical and business processes.
