DAL MAKHNI RECIPE ❤️

Ingredients:
* Urad Dal - 250gm or 1 cup (heaped)
* Rajma - 4-5 tbsp
* Water
* Ghee - 2 tbsp
* Jeera - 1/2 tsp
* Hing - 1/2 tsp
* Onion - 1pc
* Ginger - 1 tbsp
* Garlic - 1 tbsp
* Green Chilli - 2pc
* Coriander Stem - 1 tbsp
* Salt to taste
* Degi Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
* Kasuri Methi - 1/2 tsp
* Tomato Puree - 1.5 cups
* Cream/White Butter - 1/2 cup
* Handful Coriander Leaves
* Butter
* Grated Paneer (optional)



Recipe:
1. Wash dal and rajma 3-4 times till the water clears. Soak it in water overnight or for 4-5 hours.

2. Drain the water and transfer the dal and rajma to a vessel with water. Let it boil. Remove the scum (the froth that forms on the top while boiling) if required.

3. Take a kadai, add ghee, jeera, hing, onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies and coriander stem. Let it cook till light brown.

4. Add salt, degi red chilli powder, coriander powder and kasuri methi. Mix, let it cook and add some water.

5. Add tomato puree ( tomato +coriander) along with salt and sugar. Let it cook till oil rises.

6. Add the boiled dal and rajma to the tadka and mix well. You can add water to adjust the consistency.

7. Add coriander, cream/white butter and let it cook on low flame for 15-20 mins.

8. Top with butter and grated paneer. Serve and enjoy!
