(Originally aired in the mid-1970s) Tangier Island is one of the most unique communities in Virginia. It's also one of the most endangered.

Sea level rise caused by climate change has been accelerating the rate of land loss and may force the inhabitants to leave.

In the mid-1970s, WVEC reporter John Miller gave Tangier's distinctive way of life a "Second Look", one that even back then could be seen rapidly disappearing into the waters of the Chesapeake Bay...
