Bisses du Valais hiking

There are many Bisses to explore in the higher reaches of canton Valais. Today I hiked 2 of the best ones together, le Grand Bisse d'Ayent and Le Ancient Bisse du Rho. I started in Anzere, hiked up the first Bisse and reached the spectacular Lac du Tseuzier at the mid way point. Then hiking around Mondralèche, I eventually reached the end of the Bisse du Rho, which I walked the full length of. Eventually I arrived into Crans Montana and the finish of this long hike, which was just over 20km long and took me 6 hours to complete. It's a fascinating hike exploring the history and amazing engineering of these 2 great irrigation channels, and really combines amazing landscape with amazing feats of human endeavour.
