Persian mirror art has two general version: traditional mirror art and modern mirror art. In traditional mirror art which in this video you will see, is mostly used to decorate arcitecture. On the other hand, modern mirror art is popular to decorate homes and cafes and restaurants today.

History of Art📚

Mirror art or Ayeneh kari or Aina_kari is a persian world known art which has been done by Iranian artists from decades ago. in fact, this handicraft is a kind of interior design that puts very fine cut mirrors (Ayeneh) together to make special designs and geometrics. assembling cut mirrors cause a great shine and make the room glittering due to reflection of mirror faces. this handmade art was done during Zand and Qajar periods and used for decorating and covering walls, doorways, ceilings and columns. you can see some samples of this craft in Isfahan (Chehel sotoun and Ayeneh khaneh), Shiraz (Shah cheragh), Mashhad (the holy shrine of imam Reza) and Tehran (Golestan palace)
