In the summer of 1944, the American Sherman tank was considered a "death trap," hopelessly outclassed by the German Tigers and Panthers. But for 81 days, Pool and his crew of misfits in their tank "In the Mood" did the impossible. They spearheaded the US 3rd Armored Division from Normandy to the German border, destroying 258 enemy vehicles, including 12 tanks, and capturing 250 soldiers.

And he did it all while refusing to use the "better" tank and sitting exposed on top of the turret during combat.

In this documentary, we break down the tactics, the madness, and the tragedy of America's greatest tank ace. This is the story of how a "Texas Farmer" and his crew humiliated the elite Panzer divisions of the Wehrmacht.
