I have used Meike lenses in the past. Including some of their Cine lenses. And I gotta say, this is probably the sharpest Meike Cine lens I have ever used. And I was surprised even a 24mm wide angle lens. It doesn’t really have distortions. I would say, it’s almost no distortions. That makes the lens just another level. I was lucky enough to get my early hands on with the lens.

So the build quality is really good. Fully mental body. Really solid. The focus ring is super smooth. You may wonder why only T2.1 but not T1.5. To be honest, I actually prefer T2.1. Because T1.5 usually a bit soft. I rather have a sharp lens than just large aperture. Plus T2.1 gives you beautiful bokeh on a full frame camera.

Mind you, this lens doesn’t have any electronic contacts. So when using it on a Sony camera, you have to go into the menu and set the IBIS focal length manually. Otherwise the image stabilization may not have the best result.

Overall this is a really superb lens. I was surprised how sharp the lens was. The 300’c focus pulling and no focus breathing is just spectacular. This is just what you need for a cinema camera. This lens comes with PL mount, Canon EF mount, Sony Full Frame E Mount, Panasonic L Mount and Canon Mirrorless RF mount. So definitely you can find one for your camera.
