Mecha anime is a very popular genre, from Gundam to Evangelion. It is a hit genre in the anime field and one of my favorite genres too. I have a bunch of figures and models of mechs and mecha because I'm such a huge fan. I'm only 15, but I thought: what if I were to make my own mecha? I thought that would be interesting, right? So, I gathered a team and I made it.
Today, I will be explaining how I made a mecha show at 15 years old. It all started in July of 2025 when I decided to create an original Analog Horror based off the Gundam universe, specifically the original Gundam show from 1979. I saw that no one else had really made a Gundam Analog Horror yet, so I thought why not make it myself? I gathered a team and I made it. However, after the creation of this Analog Horror, I thought: why not create an original show with original mechs and an original story opposed to one based off an already existing franchise?
The first thing I did was create concept art for the main mech, which I called the Lancelot. A few members of my team, specifically Getter Prime, would end up creating more concept art of this mech as a redesign—a redesign I liked so much, I would end up using it. Eventually, someone named SGTH would come into the picture. He would 3D model the Lancelot based off Getter Prime's design for fun, not meaning for it to be official, just for a fun fan project. But it was so good that we decided he would be part of the team and that we would 3D animate the show instead of 2D.
We came up with a plot line: these aliens called the Draugrs would invade Earth and "kill the sun," putting Earth into a dark, frozen state. We thought this was an excellent idea, but we decided to add more into the mix. That's where we came up with the New World Order, an organization made to defend the Draugrs as they believed the Draugrs were righteous in their goal and were sent by God to kill off humanity.
Not only would we fully model the Lancelot, we would also create other mechs for the show, including the Fraus, which was an enemy mech made by the New World Order to help the Draugrs. Not only this, we came up with a few more, such as the Igknight, which is a prototype. We also came up with designs for the Draugrs, which were giant bird-like creatures inspired by crows and ravens.
We needed a compelling story, not just a generic, boring one. So we thought: what if the show was about two girls from opposite sides fighting each other, except they were former friends turned to enemies? We began writing the scripts, we began drawing, and eventually we 3D animated the whole thing with ​⁠content creator ‪@SaadGamerTubeHD‬ over the span of only three months.
With that, we created our original mecha show inspired by classic anime such as Gundam and Evangelion. I want to thank you for your support and watching.
